Sasha Dietze

Sasha Dietze is an author of children’s books, psychological thrillers, emotional contemporary fiction, and sci-fi romance. Her writing journey began with the dream of creating stories that her children could see themselves in—stories filled with heart, imagination, disability representation, courage, and family.

Today, her catalog spans multiple genres, from the whimsical world of Xariah’s adventures to the darker, emotionally charged stories in her adult novels like The Perfect Her, The Clearing, and They Came for the Children.

Sasha lives in Colorado with her husband Robbie, their blended family of seven children, and a small menagerie of beloved pets. When she’s not writing, she’s caring for her children, creating new worlds, dreaming up new books, or working on her next project in the Vairi Saga.

She believes stories should make you feel—comforted, challenged, seen, inspired, and sometimes a little haunted.

The Man on the Moon

A Bedtime Story About Keeping the Moon Bright

An effective book description communicates what your book is about, intrigues the right audience of readers, and tells them why they should read more, whether that’s to ignite certain emotions or learn something new. Include a compelling hook to capture attention and just enough detail about the plot or content to tease what happens next without...

Am I a Real Author?

It’s a question that nags at me far more often than I’d like to admit.

Am I a real author?

It doesn’t always shout. Most of the time, it whispers. It lingers at the edge of my thoughts when I open my laptop. It taps on my shoulder when I hit “publish.” It creeps in when I check my sales and see that most of the names belong to family and friends.

And sometimes, it gets loud.

I question it because I’m a self-published author.
I question it because my biggest supporters are the...

You Dropped Her! Twice! “You Dropped Her! Twice!”By Sasha Dietze You

“You Dropped Her! Twice!”
By Sasha Dietze

You tell me you care.
You look me in the eye and say,
“We’re doing our best.”
But your best
left my daughter bleeding on the ground.
Twice.

Twice, you let her fall.
Twice, you failed to do
the one thing her IEP demands —
keep your damn hands on her chair.
She can’t control it.
She can’t self-propel.
You knew that.
You signed the papers.
You nodded your heads.
And then you let go.

You let go.

And now you expect me to believe
you “care”?

No.
Caring isn’t what you say
in a...

“For My Daughter, I Climb”
(Sasha Dietze)

I am so tired of climbing mountains
that other people pretend aren’t even there.
Tired of pushing against doors
that should have opened the moment I knocked.

I am tired of handing my daughter,
my heart,
my whole world,
to a system that swears it cares
and watching that system
drop her.
Not once.
But twice.
Face first.
Wheelchair crashing.
Trust shattering.

They tell me,
“We’re doing our best.”
But their best looks a lot like negligence
wrapped in excuses
and tied with a...

New Book Series in the Works: The Kiara Stories I’m so excited to share a

I’m so excited to share a special project I’ve been working on — a brand-new children’s book series all about Kiara, Xariah’s little sister!

If you’ve read Xariah’s Super Wheels or Xariah’s Color Quest, then you already know Kiara: cheerful, curious, full of personality, and always ready to explore the world in her own way. But in the Xariah stories, she shares the stage with her big sister. I wanted to give Kiara a place to shine — a space just for her.

And that’s how The Kiara Stories were...

New Series Announcement: “Your Pets Are Planning On…” Hi friends!I’m so

Hi friends!

I’m so excited to finally share something I’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes — a brand-new children’s book series called Your Pets Are Planning On…

This series is all about the funny, ridiculous, and wildly imaginative things our pets might be doing when we’re not looking. If you’ve ever caught your dog chewing something suspicious, or your cat acting like they see invisible ghosts, or your bird plotting world domination from the top of the fridge… then you already know...
